Located in one of the most fascinating and evocative hillside areas in Florence, "Geranium Apartment" is surrounded by olive-groves, cypress trees and vineyards. A convenient 20 minutes from Florence, the beautiful estate offers a fabulous view of the city from windows and gardens. A vacation paradise! Originally an ancient watchtower in the Middle Ages, in the seventeenth century "Casale Fontibucci" was transformed into a farmhouse. Today, the buildings have been completely renovated, and equipped inside with all modern comforts while faithfully preserving the original aesthetic and architectural design of the buildings. In the midst of an unspoilt natural landscape and the characteristic peace of the gentle Tuscan countryside, the "Geranium Apartment" offers you all amenities for a pleasant and peaceful sojourn. With a curved shape like a small lake, surrounded by flowers, shrubs, olives and cypress trees, our swimming pool is open from the end of May to September and, like the sun terrace, commands a spectacular view of Florence. It is equipped with garden umbrellas and deckchairs. Towels for the swimming pool are at guests’ disposal.
This is a typically Tuscan ambience with terracotta floors and wood-beamed ceilings. The apartments consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 living room with fireplace, 1 bathroom. The living room is furnished with a sofa-bed and TV. The spacious kitchen has two windows with a wonderful view of Florence and of the garden. The cooking area is equipped with fridge, oven, four cooking hobs with extractor fan, an American coffee machine and a table with four chairs. The double bedroom has a window with a view of the garden The rooms are furnished with family-owned antiques. Bathroom with bath and/or shower. A section of the garden, complete with table and chairs, has been set aside for guests’ use.
Continental Breakfast, based on cakes and jams made by the owner herself from the fruits of the garden. From the terrace guests can enjoy a breathtaking view of Florence. Italian language course, Painting and sculpture course, Wine tasting and Cookery Course. Bookings for the principal Florentine museums and for the ItineRARI coach tours.
Wine, olive oil and honey are produced at a nearby farmhouse, and other products such as sausages and cheese are made and sold in local shops.

From the Firenze Sud exit it takes approximately 20 minutes to reach Casale Fontibucci.
Turn off the A1 Motorway at the Firenze Sud exit
Follow the link road for 800 metres and turn right in Viale Europa, direction Pontassieve - Rosano
After 2 km you come to a roundabout, follow the signs for Candeli
After 1km, you come to Candeli, turn right at the traffic lights, following the signs for Villamagna - Case di San Romolo
Proceed for 5 km, go through Villamagna and continue in the direction of Le Case di San Romolo
After 1 km, when you come to the sign for Le Case di San Romolo, turn right into Via Fontibucci, continue along the unmade road marked with a private sign. You will find Casale Fontibucci at n. 5.
Although Le Case di San Romolo, the area in which Casale Fontibucci is situated, is served by the no. 48 bus, we recommend that guests take the car as far as the car park called Scambiatore Europa and from there take the no. 23 bus to reach the city centre.
